About Loving

'cause this time is supposed to be forever
and you're supposed to be the one who understands
the one I can trust and the one I can come to.

So baby don't you dare to make me think
that you will force me into just another role
'cause I'm afraid of loosing myself to you
and then there will be nothing left to love.

Baby don't you dare to make me keep my distance
Don't you dare to make my heart turn cold
'cause if I do give up our love is lost
our love and all our chances turned to dust.

Baby don't you take away my belief
my trust in myself and my ability to survive
'cause if you do I'll run away in time
before you mess up years of my life

Baby, would you show a little respect
for what I've lived and loved and dared and done
instead of telling me what's right or wrong
and blaming me for not always being strong

Baby would you give unconditionally?
Would you love me like I need to be loved?
Would you take me as I am and hold me in your arms?
Then we might have a chance after all.
